Laura M. Farquhar MBA
Tourism and Hospitality Management
Laura has been in the Tourism and Hospitality industry for more than 30 years. She began her career with a passion for the culinary arts and passion for excellence in quality service delivery. She obtained her Culinary Arts certification at the age of eighteen and furthered her studies with a BC Institute of Technology Marketing Management Tourism diploma of technology. Laura has held leadership roles in academic environments, hotels, restaurants, golf and ski resorts, marinas and country clubs.
While running hotels, Laura studied online with The University of South Australia and completed a Master of Business Administration degree including a 9-month dissertation in Australia in 2013. She has successfully obtained a Le Cordon Bleu Master of Business Administration degree in International Hotel and Restaurant Management.
With her exceptional skill set, true passion, creativity and pure joy in providing excellence in the service delivery, Laura has been responsible for creating, and delivering innovative and dynamic programs and processes to clients in the Academic, Tourism and Hospitality sectors.
Laura's specialties include:
Developing and executing long and short-range success planning, and tactical strategies

Identifying operational risks and developing strategies to mitigate

He is highly motivated to perform for clients, and is always anticipating and solving problems to provide a seamless, worry-free process. Thomson takes pride in consistently providing a high quality product, completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
Thomson has worked his way up from the construction site, and continually expanded his industry knowledge through graduate studies and field experience, giving him a unique perspective and insight to the industry.
